4. One Mississippi – Amazon

Tig Notaro is a famous comedian with an unmistakable brand of sass and wit. In this new series—found exclusively on Amazon—Tig plays a woman who must return to her childhood home in Mississippi after her mother passes away. 2. Luke Cage – Netflix

While the consensus on Netflix’s popular Marvel-based series Daredevil and Jessica Jones has been nothing short of ecstatic praise, Luke Cage could blow them both out of the proverbial water. Cage was a supporting character in Jessica Jones and was created back in the 1970’s. Actor Mike Colter plays Luke, a morally-driven man who finds himself drawn into a chaotic underworld of violence and death. By the time the action scenes commence, viewers will be awed by Cage’s power and style.

Luke Cage premieres on Netflix on Friday, September 30th and is available online or through streaming

west-world-hbo-must-watch

1. WestWorld – HBO

Based on the novel by Michael Crichton (and the 1973 film), Westworld tells the story of a digital, high-tech amusement park in which visitors live the experience of various worlds—like the old west—and can hardly perceive that they’re operating within an artificial consciousness. Evan Rachel Wood plays Dolores, who realizes the life she thought she was living is an elaborate lie. With heavy-hitting actors like Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, and Thandie Newton, this series is sure to keep viewers guessing throughout each episode.
