New Hosted Next Generation VoIP Solution For Shasta County School District

Shasta County, California – August 22, 2013 – Frontier Communications (NASDAQ: FTR) – The Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE) chose to partner with Frontier Communications when they were recently in need of a new dependable hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) solution.  Tasked with providing leadership and assistance to the 25 school districts in Shasta County, SCOE needed to ensure its communication system was reliable and efficient.  Frontier implemented Mitel’s next generation hosted VoIP solution, MiCloud, which met all SCOE’s needs, including being designed to ensure emergency communications internally and externally, resulting in Mitel and SCOE heaping praise on Frontier.

Frontier executives Jim Shropshire, Customer Premise Equipment Specialist, and Matt Bram, Account Executive, were saluted by Mitel and SCOE for their roles in implementing the new hosted solution including Mitel 5330 IP Telephones.

One specific school providing special education services had a failing phone system requiring a manual re-boot every morning to make it through the day without crashing.  As a top priority, the school needed uninterrupted and dependable voice services. SCOE determined the best solution would be Frontier’s MiCloud Hosted VoIP solution.  SCOE credited Bram’s leadership with quickly putting it together with Mitel. “It’s because of this vision that we are where we are now,” said Zach Baker, I.T. analyst for Redding-based SCOE. “Due to the valuable nature of the relationship between Frontier and Mitel, SCOE became aware that hosted VoIP was an option.”  Frontier was “thorough, helpful and every interaction was positive and productive. We were pleased by the exemplary level of service.”

“We are excited to be able to provide the Shasta County Office of Education with an education communication system that is designed to provide dependable and efficient voice services and help them find a cost-effective solution to their communication needs,” said Frontier’s Shropshire.
