For the Frontier team, “We Can Help” is more than a motto; it’s the strategy our company has been built on. Being locally engaged is in our DNA, where every employee puts the customer first every single day. Our employees take great pride in living where we work, and being active in our communities comes naturally to us.

One way we practice local engagement is through our support of events in the communities we serve. However, Frontier’s involvement in these events goes far beyond sponsorship. Frontier employees and their families volunteer hundreds of hours at community functions, working side by side with organizers to make these events happen.

Throughout the year, we sponsor and volunteer at dozens of community events. One we are particularly excited to support is the upcoming Oregon International Air Show, taking place July 17-19, 2015. More than 45 Frontier employees will volunteer at the air show, and we will provide free Wi-Fi services for guests and vendors, helping to make this year’s show a success for all who attend.

Now in its 28th year, the Oregon International Air Show takes place annually at the Hillsboro Airport. It is the largest civilian air show on the West Coast of the United State, and one of largest events in Washington County, drawing an average of 75,000 people to Hillsboro each summer. In 2015, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the show. This year will showcase the first female Blue Angels pilot, Navy Capt. Kitty Higgins, who will be one of three pilots of the Blue Angel C-130 Hercules.

Friday, July 17, is Frontier Friday, featuring a family-friendly Twilight Air Show with fireworks. Other activities at the air show include military displays, picture taking with static aircraft and performances by the Navy Rock Band. The event will include a variety of food options, including several kid-friendly options. We are thrilled to offer free Wi-Fi throughout the entire show, ensuring our community can stay connected at the event.

Continued investment in the communities we serve is vital to our region’s economic development, increases opportunities for consumers and supports businesses. We’re proud to support events like the Air Show that have a positive impact on the community. For example, the Oregon International Air Show provides financial benefits to nonprofit organizations and charities throughout Oregon, donating more than $1.3 million to 600 different projects throughout Oregon over the air show’s lifetime.

Frontier’s commitment to our region’s success has created great opportunities for the communities we serve, including this year’s Air Show. All of us here at Frontier are looking forward to an unforgettable 28th anniversary air show for Oregon!
