Five stars for the installer. Two stars for the experience. The installer was great. Service came up really quickly. But then it stopped working. The installer troubleshooted my end for about an hour before calling up his tech support guy. Turns out the problem was on their end. Once that was fixed, all was well. But the next day, things stopped working again. I thought it might be the same problem, so I contacted customer support and then tech support. That's when the run-around started. Since my service order had not yet been closed, tech support said they could not help me. Customer service could only refer me to tech support. Finally, in frustration, I called up my installer again and he was willing to help out, but right then the service magically was restored. Turns out it was an area wide problem that day. And now, three days after the install, I still cannot log into my account using the name and password they gave me. Maybe because it was a holiday weekend...

there are so many channels i don't even know what to watch and the internet, oh the internet. other companies say what your download will be, but rarely what the upload is. And the upload is always small too. 5 or 6 mbps. well i got 50 down and 50 up service and every time I have ran the speed test i am amazed how it is at 50 mbps upload each time. this is way more than enough to do all the gaming and video streaming i could ever want. i just need a computer that can handle all that now lol

My initial contact was by a cellphone call to the contact number. The representative was courteous and thorough. An appointment was setup for a Tuesday. However, the service department later called to move the date to a Thursday, two days after. The serviceman came at the appointed time. He was thorough and helpful. Since the phone line had been removed by the previous owner, the serviceman laid down a new line. He even placed it where I thought it would not be able to n danger of being cut by a mower. The line had to be placed on top of the ground. He said that he would arrange for a private contractor to bury the line. The Internet connection was excellent and has operated fine for a week now. Somebody came to locate the underground lines, such as gas and cable. We are still awaiting the burial of the line. The first bill has not arrived yet.

The gentleman who came out to hook up our internet and cable did an awesome job! He was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to communicate every detail to me. The only thing we wondered about was the cord that was left exposed in the back yard. I understood that there were to be men coming out to bury the cord later that day. As of yesterday the cord was still exposed. Overall, very satisfied with the installation. It was hard work installing ours from scratch (no existing hook ups on our apartment building) and he did an efficient job.

I'm glad I chose Frontier. James was awesome. He called about 30 minutes before he showed up to make sure I was home and awake(he was here at about 9:00am). The install was more than just a quick hook up. He ended up having to install boxes and run wires and he did it very clean and neat. He walked me through every step of the hook up and even left extra coaxial so I could move my router to a different location when I wanted to. I will suggest Frontier to all my friends and family.

Overall we are very satisfied with our new Frontier internet service. We have the 150/150 package and the incredible internet speed is like nothing we have ever experienced. The only minor negative is that the provided router doesn't cover our entire house, so I had to purchase a wifi boosting kit to add hot spots to the two far corners of our house. However, once that was installed, we have incredible internet throughout the house. So far a very satisfied customer!

Normally, I do not take time to write reviews for service that I expect. Your people went well beyond that, however, and I am glad to say a good word for all of them. The woman who took my call helped me get the features I wanted without pushing me to take those I did not need. There were some old cables on the site, and the installer took time to make a new connection, and then, when it was installed, make sure that I understood how to use the system and the related wifi hotspots advantageously. Because the cables to the building needed replacement, a separate team came out to get them safely underground. The two men that came over for this were polite and worked rapidly and professionally. Your people are wonderful and make me glad to be doing business with your firm.

The service I signed up for (FiOS internet & TV) is pretty solid. The internet is much better than the TV so far. We've had some issues with the connection but it was resolved quickly by the CS team. The reason for not 5 stars is that it took me 5 calls to Frontier to sign up for this service in the first place. It was like I had to force them to take my money! I wouldn't have persistent, but they're the only ones with FiOS in the area so it's worth it.

I had great service from both gentlemen that came over. First guy came to install what I thought was the hopper3. I was very busying unpacking and not paying attention. When installation was finished, I realized I couldn't record 16 shows at once. He showed me the work order, it said 2 sling hoppers. When I called to set up service I was told hopper 3. The guy left (can't remember his name). I called you guys back and you sent a guy out a few days later to install hopper3. Phase 1, I ordered Internet, TV and Phone service from Frontier Communications. I was assisted by a very polite and knowledgeable young man (“Shyan"). Shyan didn't try to push me into anything. Instead he asked questions and help me determine what was the the best package for me. Phase 2, The Frontier Communications technician showed up as scheduled today 05/17/2017 on time and what I would say that he was even early after he confirmed via phone that I was available. Shortly there after a very polite young man ("Eric") arrived at my home. After a brief greeting Eric set about completing the install. This work went along in short order and before I new it the task was complete. Eric was knowledgeable and informative. Eric made sure every thing worked as required before leaving. Eric was a most pleasant person to have visit my home. Phase 3, I called Technical services for assistance installing Frontier security features. I was assisted by a gentleman named "Hawk". Hawk was very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. With his assistance I am all set. Phase 4, I can't wait to enjoy FIOS! 100 Mbps and its all mine, Oh Boy!! Thank you. I sure hope that the satisfaction I enjoyed today is where Frontier Communications has set the bar for customer service.

Never having used Frontier before, I was surprised that a technician had to install a modem, which was limited to one specific outlet in my home. For more rural areas, Frontier seems to be the only provider. They have good customer service which is a plus, most service providers tend to be lacking in that area. When the representative was finished giving me details on the special in my area and I said I wasn't ready to order just yet, she gave me a special phone number to order and told me it was a priority line because of the busy time of year it was. It took over a week to get a technician out to my home to install cable and internet. They missed their initial appt, and tried to schedule me out for another week out. I refused and said I would take my business elsewhere. Some how their "no technicians" turned into two technicians who could make it out that same day. The technicians were helpful and friendly. We have already had a couple issues with the cable services though. We attempted to purchase the UFC fights and when it said it didn't go through, we decided to buy them through the PS4 instead. But we still got charged by Frontier. We are also supposed to have HBO for free for two years, but every time I try to watch something on HBO is says I have to subscribe in order to watch. Overall I am seriously unimpressed by Frontier so far.

Much better phone and TV service than Spectrum, but spectrum may have faster internet speeds. My biggest negative with Frontier is they are quite expensive and their billing is very confusing and not exactly transparent. They have never been able to give us an exact quote of what our bill will be until you sign up for service, and even then you don't know until you see your first bill. Other than that, their customer service is good and like I said, the phone and tv are good.

Between calling to sign up for NEW services with YOUR company, having the technician come out and install, and then having to call back because your representative signed me up for a completely different package than I asked for, I have now wasted over 10 hours with your company to get ZERO satisfaction. I am disgusted at the fact that you allow your representatives to tell their customers "we cannot provide anything to you in writing of what services you sign up for" whereas when I signed up, I was supposed to get an email with everything and never received anything. I've already: Cancelled a service that I was not told about but signed up for (Frontier Secure) Spent over 4 hours on the phone between Technical Support saying one thing, customer service saying another about my internet speed being limited to a lesser speed than promised (had 3 different tech support people say they see the problem, but only customer service could change it, then have customer service treat me like I'm a moron for trying to do what tech support told me. I called well in advance (4 weeks in advance) to schedule an install of Fios TV and Internet. I confirmed my install date several times with the sales person and reviewed the two services I requested. The next day I get 5 or 6 emails about services I supposedly signed up for (I had not signed up for any of them). A week or so later, I get a call reminding my of my install appointment supposedly on the next day. I call them back and come to find out that the first sales rep slammed services onto my bill that I did not ask for and then also scheduled the install on the wrong month and day. They did not have any availability to accommodate my original requested date, so I had no other choice other than to wait longer for them and schedule a later install date. The supervisor conveniently did not want to discuss the slamming of services either, and simply said 'the services have been removed and you will not be charged'. Not a great way to start off the relationship Frontier.... not at all.....

So I'm torn between leaving a 5 because of how well Aneshia fixed our problem and a 1 because of how horrible my first experience was. I called and signed up for wifi//internet may 1st, they sent the modem out and said it would be turned on May 8th. Well, it wasn't. So we called may 8th and the guy said it hasn't been turned on yet, it says it's scheduled for may 9th. Well, still nothing may 9th. So we called may 10th and they said they would be sending someone to turn it on May 15th between 8 and 5 (like we don't have to be at work or anything). Well today is May 15th and we called to see if they had any idea what time someone would be coming, and come to find out they had our information wrong. However, thanks to Aneshia, she collected the correct information, And was able to help us out tremendously. She is expediting our new modem with already turned on service and did her best to hook us up with amazing customer service. The 4 star is definitely for her because if she didn't help us out, we would've canceled our service and went some where else.

The process was inordinately difficult and frustrating. In the end, I got the internet service I was seeking (the guys digging the drop and Jeff the installer were magnificent). The long and arduous three weeks of phone conversations and a wasted visit from one installer was unnecessary from my point of view. Each time I called there was a different service rep (South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Utah, etc.) with a different story. It was frustrating. I now have good internet service (thanks for that), but still have no idea what it will cost me. I have still received no info in writing from Frontier (no text, no email, no paper).

The good: The installation tech was professional & did a great job. The bad: I was told that I was getting 2 years of free HBO. When I spoke with manager Rienna she told me the promotion expired 2 days before I signed on, which was not my fault & could not give me what I was told I would get. I asked if this was a Bait & Switch because I am forced to get less but the price will stay the same. I am not happy with the customer service. My first experience calling frontier on weekends was awful because I will choose the option and be on hold for a long time. One time since I was riding as a passenger I left the phone on hold for 45 minutes and no answer whatsoever. I was very frustrated on that date but on the next phone calls I was able to talk to a representative and the experience changed. Now I call and I don't want that long on hold and always been able to solve my issue. I guess Frontier hired more personnel or did something because now they are a lot better. The technician who came out was great! I'm a little disappointed that the deal I signed up for included hbo free for 2 years and it wasn't included. When I called customer service they stated that the original rep who signed me up needed to include it at the time of sign up and it was not done so if I wanted the hbo it would be an additional monthly fee of $20.... your customer service from the call center needs a lot of working!!

My rating is ZERO stars. I called Frontier to arrange internet and landline service 2 weeks before our move in date of 5/2. I was given a new phone # and new email address at that time. I was NOT given an account #. A tech arrived on 5/2 and determined that something was amiss with the wiring, a connection box was put in place and we were told SOMEONE from Frontier would come by and finish the connection. I have had to call 7, yes 7, times just to add a set top top box, update my old box, and update my bundle of services. I have had three different people get the order wrong. The first time I was waiting for the order to arrive and it never showed up. When I called, they said it had been put in wrong and wasn't ever going to ship. The second person didn't enter it in correctly either. The third person didn't ship all the equipment that they were supposed to send. I am still waiting for equipment and this started weeks ago. Every time I call, I am on the phone for a minimum of 45 minutes. This is the worst customer service I think I have ever experienced in my life. I wish we had just changed cable companies.

I could write pages of the horrible customer service we have received. I have easily called in 40-50 times trying to get phone and internet service. I am beginning to think you guys are in the used car business, because setting up phone service seems foreign to you. Oddly, just today I overheard someone at another restaurant table talking about having the same issues with Frontier, so my situation is apparently the norm. Next week, I will see if anyone bothers to show up for the 4th installation appointment I have received, to go along with 3 orders. You transfer people around so much that mistakes are repeatedly made. I doubt I will remain a customer for long....

The installation went very well considering that a lineman had to be called in. Kudos for the quick service. The BAD is that the sales person added some ID and other protections services that I did not order to my account. I discovered this because I got numerous e-mails to activate. I did call and get it removed. This service is for a second home and all I need is basic internet, no extras. That was specifically communicated with the sales person. There were a couple of problems with my initial installment, The tech that came to my house seemed like he had something better to do other than his job, He was going to leave my house without me having internet service ( it had to connected manually through my computer which I brought up the window) and without phone service. mind you this was a COMPLETE install which I was paying for. The other person with Brent (the tech sent to my house) was able to help and my wireless was connected. I didn't know long distance was extra along with voicemail, but once explained I agreed to the extra charge and was good to go. I needed Frontier secure support and spoke to a Rep named Rashid, He was so very helpful, I would like to give him a rave review! Anyway it's been a week and I lost internet service last night, I have a ticket in for service on Mon 5/15/17, which I will wait till Mon. morn to cancel All in all I'm mostly satisfied.

I found a deal online for a lot less $ than what I was offered on the phone. That was super disappointing when the online offers couldn't be honored for me despite the professionalism and friendliness of the initial female rep that I spoke to in order to sign up. My experience with another rep (man) to see if I could try to get the online rates honored after I'd signed up for new service was on the rude side (brusque). I decided to cancel the installation after thinking about that second interaction with your team b/c ultimately from a startup cost perspective this would be a more expensive service for me than just remaining with my current ISP.

Absolutely terrible. Had to reschedule twice. Technician left cable hanging outside my house. Tried this again a third time. Installation date was scheduled then they put it off saying I need to confirm my identity. Cable still hanging from my house. I refused to turn in a form with my birth certificate or SSN and get the form notarized. Worst service in the all of Portland!

The actual Frontier Internet Service is great and I consistently get the speeds that I am paying for. Customer Service / Technical Support is hit and miss. I know that is the case at most companies but I've noticed with Frontier it seems to be more miss. I would usually give this a pass but there was one experience that wasted over an hour of my time only to have The Tech Rep hang up on me. This rep wouldn't wait on the phone for 5 minutes for my ONT to reset after he resent the signal to it. He told me to wait for it to come back on and call back if it still wasn't working. After I told him it would be faster for him to wait 5 minutes for it to come back online than it would be for me to call back, wait on hold, reexplain my situation to a new person and go through all the basic trouble shooting with the new person he just placed me on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected. That is definitely not customer service.

Ridiculously horrible service. I called on April 24th and set up service. I was told they would mail my internet goodies on May 3rd. I called May 10th to get a status and was told my order had been deactivated and my account cancelled. They did not have any reason to give me. Then the rep ran my credit without asking me. After being on the phone with her for 55 minutes, she hung up on me. I tried the chat feature and was told my order was not deactivated but that it was on hold. 30 minutes with her and no answers. She said she would get back to me. Nothing now, 23 hours later. This company is a joke and I am very upset I even gave you a minute of my time.

staff is King or is it they're telling me what I want to hear. I've made several calls to customer service and tech support and many of my calls were never documented. thus, most frustrating internet provider I've ever delt with. my router took over a week to come to wait another week and a half for a tech to come out to figure out why thing's didn't work. I can't connect my phone. my Roku streaming device is about fifteen away and has terrible connecting. my computer takes about ten seconds to load each page. this sincerely feels like I'm using dialup.

The actual installation was very good. Great installer crew. Nice guys who did a nice job. The administrative side was not so good. When I first called Frontier I was told that my house was not able to be served by Frontier. I thought that strange, as neighbors have Frontier. I called back and insisted that Frontier served my neighborhood. After 15 mins on the phone I was then told that Frontier could indeed provide service. We then proceeded to sign me up and arrange a time for installation. A week later I received an automated call from Frontier that said installation would be 2 days before what was said initially. I called Frontier Customer Service to check this out and the rep said he couldn't even find that I had signed up for service and could find no record of my having opened an account! I called Customer Service back the next morning and a different rep said that installation was indeed scheduled for the same date and time as indicated on the automated message from the day before. I still have no idea why the installation date got changed. Luckily I was able to be at the house at the new time. The equipment and internet performance seem fine. Good installation crew, but do something about the customer service group! They look to be Frontier's Achilles Heel...

I would give zero stars if I could. I was very excited to switch my provider for cable and internet. I was signed up fairly easily. Then as soon as I hung up my entire order was canceled - I only found this out a couple days later when I called to change the appt time. I was not emailed I was not called. I spent over an hour with a representative and two supervisors as they tried to figure out what happened. Turned out the first representative messed it up and told me a poet for the internet was available when it was not. Furthermore, I was promised several times by the senior supervisor that she was personally going to call me two days later and update me on the status is the port. Not only did I never get a call two days later, I never got a call at all. Extremely upset with this company, would never recommend and it was a complete waste of a credit check. Plus the stock options are in the toilet! Stay away!!!

The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because Adam the tech was great. I would give them 0 stars if it was not for him. I scheduled 2 weeks ahead and had a 1-5 appt time, I called at 5 and then again at 6:30pm to find out where the hell they were. I was told to wait until 8pm.... and I did..... and they never came!!! I get a call the next morning (Saturday ) and Adam finally came over and set up my Internet. Extremely poor customer service and I would have cancelled my order.... except they are the only company that offers Internet in my area. A call to let me know they weren't gonna make it there is the least they could have done so I wasn't waiting for 7 hours...

I would rate Frontier at 0 stars if there was an option. I was very happy with my Verizon service, but was forced to participate in the merge. After that occurred, I no longer had access to my online account and was on paperless billing and auto pay, leaving me without access to my account information. Each time I called in, I got horrendous customer service being transferred from one person to the next because they couldn't find my account. I set up an appointment after I moved to get my service transferred and was told I had a confirmed appointment. I took the entire day off because they only give an 8 hour window- from 8-4pm they'll come install. Come to find out, the appointment was never set. I have another chance and reset the appointment. I called and had a question about the account number and again they couldn't find my account. Each time I call in, I am on hold for 20-30 minutes while they try to find my account. I finally asked them to cancel my account after having so many issues. I would never recommend Frontier for service. Save yourself some time in your life by not waiting on hold.

A technician named Gabe showed up on time and performed the installation of coax and fiber-optics cables efficiently. Before too long, the vivid fiber optics picture appeared on our large screen TV ! Yay. Internet speed that is unmatched. The 5-G wireless router is amazingly fast and easy to set up. I no longer need to reply on an extender to extend that range of the ancient Comcast router. Frontier; A good provider!

Terrible customer svc on the phone. HBO, which was supposed to be free for 24 months, still does not work since we switched to Frontier from Comcast 6 days ago. Spoke to customer svc 3 times who have no clue why and who said they would follow up and of course never did. To this day still don't have HBO.Every on demand movie comes in pixely to where after sitting on the phone with tech support for an hour twice, never got fixed and we already have to have a technician come out. My experience was not good. My daughter has epilepsy and we have no cell service at our new house. I had trouble trying to get get the home phone hook up escalated. Numerous phone calls, asked to talk to a supervisor, whom never talked to me, but was told by representative that supervisor stated that Frontier does not escalate due to medical issues! Really????!!!!! I have medical issues that would have prevented me from being able to carry my daughter to the car to get her to a hospital in an emergency. I spoke several times with a Mrs. Howell. She tried to be helpful. I don't blame the actual representatives, but the way the company is run, I do not have confidence that it will be dealt/solved in a timely manner.
