We switched over from a different company (rhymes with "Bomb blast") so there were actually 2 calls required; first to get the FIOS to the house, then another to actually activate the service. The reason I'm dropping a star - was not advised of the first call, so was confused as to why they came at an unscheduled time - and, information left was very unclear, had to call for clarification. Second call went without a hitch, and very pleased with operation so far.

The installation process went very well, although it took a bit longer than I had expected it to. I'm also not as clear as I need to be on the billing so will look forward to checking that out. I also have some question relative to the security systems and what is included in the startup installation vis-à-vis what will have to be paid for in the future. Also, exactly what benefit the security system offers. I already have firewall and anti-virus software installed on my laptop and desktop computers. I understand I can have it installed on devices such as cell phones and iPads. Just wonder how to do that.

Great communication when ordering service. Rep did attempt to up-sale with security package (which I declined) and I still received the email to activate. First off, my timing stinks. I called to set up service and the computers were being updated and the sales agent could not place my order. I called back the next day, and it was the same thing. I called back the day after that and a sales agent was able to set me up with an account but said I needed to call another number to get a back payment taken care because of a previous tenant at my apartment. I called the other number and talked to a person who transferred me to another department to get the back payment taken care of. The call got dropped. I called customer service again, i got someone who attempted to help me but could not find my account. By this time I was very annoyed, I told the person to hand me off to a manager. She said she needed to do as much as she can and then proceeded to ask me for personal info. I refused to give her my social and she hung up on me. Needles to say i was surprised. I spent several minutes deciding if I wanted to go through with this. I called again and got Trisha in sales. She figured out what the problem was with my account and proceeded to get it fixed, without asking me for my social. Within only a few minutes she had my account set up, the back payment taken care and an install appointment arranged. When the appointment time came I got two calls to make sure I knew what was going on. The tech showed up and proceeded to help my wife find the right connection in the walls and set up the modem (I was at work). I only gave it three stars because of the first 5 phone conversations I had. Trisha and the Tech deserve 5 stars. Sadly, it was the customer service department that was the least helpful during this whole thing.

When I got my first bill It was much higher than I was quoted and I felt promised. I called customer service and spoke with a very polite and helpful young man. He reviewed all my account information and asked me some questions. After about 10 perhaps 15 minutes he had everything in order and reduced the first bill to about 10.00 more than the original quote. I am very pleased. Before I even had the system installed I had called to see if i could get an earlier installation date. I again I spoke with a very polite and helpful man. He explained the I had been given a good install date and that the only dates open were weeks past my date. What was nice was he asked if we could review the install order. He explained that I had ordered the install through a vendor and sometimes things might be added that I might not want nor need. This way I could be sure I was getting everything I needed and make sure that things I did not need were not attached to my installation .Sure enough their was a feature added so I could adjust my apartments temperature from a remote location. An add on that could never be installed into my extremely low tech apartment. The man that did the install was also top notch ! And the speed and quality of my connection is second to none ! Thank you Frontier !

Reasonably good service but could be better. The initial scheduled date for enabling internet for me was several weeks away but with the help of the Frontier customer helpdesk, I was able to get it escalated and the installation time reduced to about a week. I recommend an online -ticket/escalation system where customers can track progress of their issues and add comment if necessary. I also think you need to ensure customer installations are done as quickly as possible. Waiting weeks is not acceptable. Thanks and keep up the good work.

We got the run around trying to get service for 12days. Being told we could get things & then couldn't plus getting told we couldn't get service for almost a month. Then I got a hold of Tina, she was amazing and moved mountains for us getting us service before the end of the year. Jeff installed our service and was awesome. Very knowledgable & got the job done fast & efficiently. We were supposed to get a 4 recording dvr box & only got one that records 2. I will be discussing that with Tina on Monday in hopes she can fix it. We have had some glitches in getting service but I am hoping that we will love our new frontier service once all the kinks are worked out.

I an unable to give Frontier 5 stars due to the fact that the time for installation is outrageous. Comcast was able to get someone out in a few days and Frontier not until the 20th of this month. I am a very disatisfied customer of Comcast and hated the fact that I had to go back to them even if it was just until my scheduled installation with Frontier. Frontier would have much more customers if they were able to install services quicker.

There were a few scheduling mishaps when initially signing up for service, but the last apt was fulfilled with the hard work of the agents I spoke to. Sadly, the tech that came out left a minor mess for me to clean up from drilling into the wall. My service call was still showing pending and I had limit connectivity for the rest of the day. however, I know it will be okay when I get home today because I called.

We are brand new customers to Frontier...we had an excellent experience with the installation as the tech was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, I am not happy with the customer service that I am receiving after the service was installed. Our wireless internet connection did not work at all on the 3rd day for hours...the sales rep who placed my initial order must not be a direct Frontier employee but rather a third party vendor who only wanted to get my business so quoted me incorrect prices. I am still waiting for this pricing issue to be resolved. I will patiently see what will be done.

Our tech knew what he was doing and wasted no time getting it done. I was very pleased with the installation and have had great success with the internet since installation. We replaced Comcast because we would constantly lose internet connection. It is not that way with Frontier. The funny thing was I switched to Frontier several years ago when Comcast approached us about the pending demise of Frontier. Obviously Frontier is still here and doing (for us) a better job than Comcast. I recommend Frontier.

The installation tech was late and when I called customer service they explained they wouldn't be able to make it out. I was disappointed but when I got off the phone almost immediately another tech called me and said they were sorry and they would get there in a little if that was alright. I appreciated the effort and the tech was very kind and patient with my daughter as she babbled her questions at him. The internet works really well and the modems aren't entirely horrible to look at. For the price and the speed I am pretty satisfied.

Process was a little unclear when setting up the install date/time but it ended up working out okay. The installer was very professional and friendly and was very quick. He even noticed that the Verizon box on the garage wall needed a new battery. Because we were still moving in it was inaccessible at the time but he was sure to leave the replacement battery with me so I could change it out later and it really was as simple as he explained. Service has been great so far with no issues. (Though my name is spelled incorrectly on my account).

Customer service on the phone and in person was not good. In setting up my account, I was on hold for almost an hour of my 75 minute conversation. The maybe-15 minutes I was actually talking to someone, she was abrupt and unhelpful. The person on the online chat was better, except it took a long conversation to determine that I had been given the wrong confirmation number, and to answer a simple question about accessing my account. The only reason this is 3 stars instead of 1 is that the technician who came to set up the wireless was prompt, polite, and effective. So far, wishing there was an alternative to Frontier other than the always-horrible Comcast.

I did have a little trouble over the phone. The rep who set up the service talked like a valley girl and kept pushing service I firmly told her I do not need. The tech who came out was much more professional and was very timely as well. I would train your phone reps to match the pace and tone of the customer more. Also ensure they understand the needs of the customer over their paycheck.

My wife and I left Comcast because the rates just got too high for us. We decided to switch to Frontier as the rest of my family were doing the same. The tech was somewhat friendly but got the job done pretty quickly. When I initially purchased our internet and TV package I was told that we were going to receive HBO as a bonus for choosing the package that we did. Fortunately when I called customer service they made it right. But it would have been nice to not have called customer service two weeks in to having service.

The call to place to order the first time for our service was terrible. The gentleman tried to sell us a $120-something package we didn't want. I felt like I was dealing with comcast all over again! The second time I called the lady was amazingly nice, she helped us set up the service we were looking for and even found a package that got us a discount! The order was placed and installation was scheduled promptly. However, it appears the logins I was give to check my order, and even my account don't work. They ALSO didn't give the installer the correct package information. Now I am trying to make sure I don't get charged for all the stuff I am not paying for, like two land-lines. On that note, the installer who came by called and confirmed he has the right package, and was a really nice guy. The installer so far has been the only redeeming quality out of this experience. This is a shame because I've heard good things about frontier only to be disappointed by disorganized customer service ONCE MORE. 3 stars because the service we ordered works great and the installer was kind and quick.

Really great service initiating the account over the phone. There was an error with the original install date on Frontier's end so we had to reschedule (they called, apologized and immediately rescheduled), but the rescheduled install went very smoothly. He was on time, great to work with and completed the install very quickly. So far we love the service. NO cable interruptions or slow internet service like we randomly had with Comcast. And we have all kinds of fun new channels. We are glad we switched!!!
