Price is a bit above average. They state you get advertised speed so I'm hoping for that. I'm also hoping you can get just a modem. We signed up on 8/12 and two weeks later, still no service. One person came early on and said frontier lines were wrapped around the pole on the road, then said it would be 2-5 days. After 2 weeks, we called to ask the status and they said someone would be out on the 30th. Not super impressed so far. We've been wasting our cellular data because we still don't have service. Wave it's the only other option here and I've heard their speed is not even close to what's advertised.

We are very happy with service provided by agent on the phone and the agent who came to our home. The modem arrive before the estimated date and was up and running in no time at all. So far, 1 week in, service has worked well. I run an application that checks the upload and download speed hourly and so far has not recorded a a download speed over 3 mbs, average speed is just over 2 mbs and infrequently in the range of .8mbs to 1.4 mbs especially in the later evening. We had considered upgrading to higher range of service, but will do so until we see speeds closer to the 6 lbs that was advertised. I do use my own Wi-Fi antenna which consistently reads at 72 mbs, but downstream of that shows numbers listed above. Not complaining, just saying. Please forgive any typos, I am unable to read what I'm writing as there is drop-down "time left to call today" that obscures the entire survey text field.

I called Frontier to have internet only service installed. The first time I called in, I was told their computers were down but they would call me back as soon as things were working on their end. I was never called back. I waited a few months before trying again, but the second time I was able to determine they did cover my area and set up a time for an installer to come out. I wish I could remember the installer's name as he was great. He showed up on the proper day within the proper time period and was an extremely nice man. He did tell me, however, that I was scheduled for a "full install" instead of having the option to do it myself. He also told me the charge for this was $100. I was not happy about that. The man I originally spoke to on the phone did not inform me of the charge nor that there was a do-it-yourself option available. I told him I couldn't afford the extra charge and he called in and had it changed over so I could install it myself. I really appreciated his help with that. I did have to call the tech service line while trying to set it up. The first rep I spoke with seemed as though it was a real pain for him to be bothered with this. I finally was able to get it to connect, however. Then another problem arose and I had to call tech service again. The second rep I spoke with was very polite and extremely helpful. That being said, so far I'm liking the service. I did go with the basic slower speed connection and it seems to work fine the majority of the time. There are some really slow times, but I presume if I could afford the faster service that wouldn't be a problem. It is certainly a much better deal than what I had before, which was from Verizon Wireless. Due to some of the other comments, I will take a close look at my bill when it arrives to make sure the charges are correct.
