Benefits of the Verizon-Frontier merger
Twice the fiber footprint
Prior to the merger, Verizon Fios was available in 15 states, and Frontier Fiber in 16. Now the Verizon footprint reaches all 31 of those states, plus Washington, DC.
For the time being, Frontier Fiber plans will stay the same, but eventually plans will standardize across the entire Verizon territory. That means fewer customers will shop around for a plan they love only to discover that they’re out of area.
Until then, customers of both Frontier and Verizon can continue expecting the amazing performance of a 100% fiber network, with faster speeds and lower latencies (lag times) than the copper used in competing provider networks.
New deals & savings
Although Frontier Fiber customers always had the option to join the Verizon Wireless family, now they’ll be rewarded for it.
By switching to Verizon mobile or verifying their current Verizon mobile service, Frontier customers now qualify for the Mobile + Home discount of $15 off per month on their home internet service.
In fact, until April 22, 2026 new Frontier customers can get FREE service for 6 months if they order Fiber 500 or Fiber 1 Gig and add or verify an existing Verizon mobile plan (offer expires after 04/22/2026).
The Frontier-Verizon merger also gives subscribers access to even more offers, such as streaming discounts, coupon codes, and weekly freebies, via Frontier ForMe rewards and Verizon myPlan perks.
New product options
Eventually, current Frontier customers will have access to fiber-powered Verizon products they couldn’t get before. Fios TV, for example, provides far more consistent signal and high-res picture quality than satellite TV partners.
Frontier customers will also continue having access to the types of fiber-backed, supplementary internet services that Frontier and Verizon both provide, from whole-home Wi-Fi, digital home phone, device protection, and total home tech support to business internet packages.
