I'm glad I chose Frontier. James was awesome. He called about 30 minutes before he showed up to make sure I was home and awake(he was here at about 9:00am). The install was more than just a quick hook up. He ended up having to install boxes and run wires and he did it very clean and neat. He walked me through every step of the hook up and even left extra coaxial so I could move my router to a different location when I wanted to. I will suggest Frontier to all my friends and family.

Once my tech issue was resolved and I was able to actually access my services my connection has been good and i have not had any problems. However getting them up and running was a bit of a different story, I was having connectivity issues and ended up spending a very long time on the phone with a technician with the end result being sending someone out to take a look. The next day I made a second call attempting to resolve the problem and the technical agent was able to resolve my problem

Installers came a little earlier than expected. The appointment time was between 9 to noon. They showed up before 8am without a call beforehand. The installer wanted to rush the job and mount the equipment outside. I sensed they don't really care much about aesthetics. I had them install the unit in the basement beside the old unit. You have to carefully oversee the work if you care about neatness and aesthetics. I guess it was a good thing they came early. Otherwise they will just put everything where it is easy and route the wires wherever. The internet speed is a bit slow so far. Even when using one computer or phone for browsing. We may have to be forced to upgrade.

The person that came to install wad great. The internet speed that wad able to come through at my apartment complex was too slow to stream TV shows on Netflix, so I cancelled. My main issue was that the person that signed me up got me on a higher speed plan, but did not mention that they were not capable of those speeds in my area. So far the service has been great and one of the people in the internet service department was great...... other than that I was supposed to have my stuff installed for me... that wasn't done as the tech showed up 6 hours prior to my schedule appointment. Due to my being at work I was not there, I caught him before he left and asked that he leave the equipment with my neighbor as I had already waited two weeks because they had no appointments available, so to reschedule would likely be another couple weeks. That had me peeved for sure. I then had to call because it was not working while hooked to my laptop, I had sat on hold for 30 minutes just for them to tell me I needed to wait until their system updated at midnight... 😲. So I called in the morning as service was still not on. The guy who I finally got to after being transferred several times, his name was Joseph, was amazing, walked me through steps and eventually we found that my laptop IP address is wrong due to an update by microsoft and I need to call them but in the meantime I can use wifi on other devices. Yay for Joseph. I marked four stars because I had a bad experience but the service is good and same with some of the techs. I will be calling Microsoft to see what can be done with my laptop thanks to Joseph working with me for probably an hour to figure it out.

Initial time to setup the service was very fast. About an hour and Internet was up. After the installer left I noticed my speed was less than half of what I was promised. Called Customer Care and they could not find my account. They eventually found my account and sent me a new router. Now I have great speed. Called back a couple days later to ask for a credit due to the slow speeds and they had trouble finding my account again. Seemed like the systems were disorganized and not working well.

I have noticed no different from cable as far as download speed. Download is slow during evening time. Customer service is great. Router is in the front living room. Wireless signal is weak on the other end within the rambler home of 1500 sq ft. I have to stay close to the router. Overall, I am happy. Just can have it all.

Have only had the Frontier service for a week so far. At this point, so far, so good. The person I set up service with was very pleasant and nice to talk to, as was the person who installed my service. There was no hard sell involved in either case. I've had a couple issues where the picture on the TV disappears so I have had to turn the set off and turn it back on and the picture reappears, but as long as it doesn't happen when I'm really into whatever I'm watching, like Deadliest Catch or Nashville or a NASCAR race, it's just a small annoyance. I am having some issues setting up my email (want my @frontier.com email), so will call soon for assistance. Other than that, I like it!

When I called Frontier to begin internet service, I had a wonderful conversation with the sales associate and he was very helpful. While I was waiting for Frontier to call me and schedule an implementation date, that phone call never came... I called Frontier back and found out that there was a hold on my account and that they needed verification that I was not the tenant that lived in the unit before. I sent them a copy of my rental lease and I was promptly told that because my lease was not on letterhead or was not notarized, that it wasn't a legal document. I then decided to take all of my information to the Frontier store in Everett and the ladies that were there were more helpful than the people from 1-800 Frontier; We were able to submit the correct paperwork to get my account completed and schedule the installation. I ended up receiving ANOTHER phone call from 1-800 Frontier and them telling me again, that because the documents weren't notarized, that they were invalid. I went back to the frontier store to the ladies who were helpful and they ended up calling the 1-800 number and taking care of business as it should have been taken care of in the first place. They were able to finally get our dates scheduled for the installation as well. So while some of the service was a hassle, the ladies at the store made our experience much better.

Overall, I am satisfied. I was a little annoyed that I had to wait over 2 weeks to get my fios back up and running again. I had left Frontier and tried Comcast for about a month. We weren't happy with Comcast, so I called to come back to Frontier fios. I told 2 different people, on two separate phone calls that I still had all necessary equipment, and can they just have someone turn me back on. I know how to hook up the coax cables that are needed. I was told no, a tech had to come out. I explained that wasn't necessary, as I am a low voltage electrician myself. I even told them that I install fiber optics and coax as a part of my job. They insisted that a tech had to come out. Well, fast forward two weeks, I called to find out what time this tech would be out the next day. While chatting with the lady, I mention that I really didn't need a tech to screw a coax cable to a splitter. That I work with this stuff every day. She called down to the fios tech support and explained this to them. She said that they were checking to make sure they could ping my house from the street, and that someone would be calling me. Not more than 5 minutes later, a very nice gentleman named Wayne called. He had me turn on my modem when he was ready for me, and guess what? It worked! I am happy that I'm back on fios, but disappointed that the first two people didn't listen to me when I said I know what to do within my own home. I wish I could remember the nice lady's name that did listen to me, and got me in touch with Wayne. A big thank you to both of them!

I have it three stars because the time of arrival was suppose to be around 8-10 in the morning. The installer had to call me after I called the frontier communications number. He told me basically they surprised him with a appointment in the morning. So I had to rearrange my whole work schedule so I can be home for him to install it. And after he arrived at 12:30 I left back to work thinking it was gonna take 2 hours like the man said. I live in a small mobile home park. Called Frontier to see if I could get FiOS. was told by the guy on the phone that yes we could get FiOS. I was very excited when Tuesday came for my outside install, but no tech. showed up!! Called early morning Wednesday and complained. Frontier said that my line was turned on! I told them that my phone was not working in the house. they sent a tech. out that day. He told me that the mobile home park did not have FiOS just copper wires and I was getting regular DSL. He was very nice and fixed the phone line in my house. I'm suppose to be getting 6Mbps, but I'm only getting 1Mbps. Was told by Frontier that my line is over 1500 ft long and the speed is what it is. When I was told at 1st that I'd be getting FiOS, he said that i'd get a $25.00 Visa card also, but I guess not. Everything works, but I wish I could at least get a speed higher then 1Mbps. I'm also disappointed about being told I could get FiOS and not being able to get it. Frontier does not know if or when they might upgrade the lines here. Nice people tho.

Frontier customer service was excellent. The customer service representative explained the different options for each package so that I could make an informed decision based on what worked best for me. Frontier worked with me to get the installation tech to me at a time that I was available. The installation technician did a great job! He was on time, had done some prep work prior to my appointment to make the installation easier. We encountered a couple of issues and he worked those out very patiently. He was very personable as has all other Frontier personnel I have dealt with. My internet service is excellent. Thank you for the great service Frontier.

Looking at the other reviews I don't know if I just got lucky or if Frontier has taken the complaints to heart, but the tech who set me up was prompt, courteous and answered all my questions, some of which I'm sure he didn't have to. I've been without internet for a long time (using at work only) so I am very happy to have in home service now. The only complaint I have seems to be just the overall bogdown of the interwebs in general, and wireless is not all its cracked up to be. Using the LAN option (ethernet cable) instead of the wifi does help this in case any one else is annoyed by constant buffering. However, the hardware provided is top notch, the signal strength is there and Frontier gave me a most affordable plan over previous options with Comcast. I'll give it a 10.

I had a wonderful experience with Frontier employees. I was told that I might not be able to get service on the day I had scheduled. Something had gone wrong with ordering our cable box, so they didn't have it yet. When I received the call that I wouldn't be able to set up service that day I was honestly very disappointed. I had it marked on my calendar and I was really excited to give up my Comcast box and get my Frontier. The wonderful representative that helped me said he would do the best he could to get me a box that day. And he did!! I was sooooo thankful!! He went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. PS. I really hope you guys actually read this. Keys "r","y" are broken on my keyboard. I have to use copy and paste the entire time so I really went out of my way to write you guys a review!!

Loved it so far. We've had it for a couple weeks and have had no downtime. We're getting speeds much faster than Comcast at nearly half the price as their 6mbps down package. We actually had a couple of people from Comcast come to our door to try to sell us stuff from them and my wife, joyously told them how much we hated our Comcast service and how happy we are with Frontier.
