I'm glad I chose Frontier. James was awesome. He called about 30 minutes before he showed up to make sure I was home and awake(he was here at about 9:00am). The install was more than just a quick hook up. He ended up having to install boxes and run wires and he did it very clean and neat. He walked me through every step of the hook up and even left extra coaxial so I could move my router to a different location when I wanted to. I will suggest Frontier to all my friends and family.

Terrible customer svc on the phone. HBO, which was supposed to be free for 24 months, still does not work since we switched to Frontier from Comcast 6 days ago. The worst customer service, not that the people working were unfriendly, but that it is such a pain to get service set up. I had 2 no-shows after being "assured" they would be showing up the second time. The first time they rescheduled my appointment without letting me know. The second time they just didn't show up "because someone put my order in wrong." Every time I have had to call it has taken about 10 minutes just to figure out who I am and where I live. Now that it's up and running, it works although pretty slow compared to what I'm used to. But, alas, I don't have other options that I know of.

Our last incident was awful, we moved, and getting things set up and being told different things every time only to have the first tech not show up was awful. the internet service is good so far however when installation was done it wasn't so good the Frontier guy was awesome however the installation guy did the work on the house and when he was done he knocked on the door and said he did the install he didn't even let us know he was outside until after he was done. Frontier is the worst company of any kind I have ever dealt with. After making it clear that we were the new owners, and not responsible for the previous owner not paying their last bill, we were set up with a 8 to 5 install window. After waiting all day with no cable guy, I called at 5:00 PM. I was told after being on the phone for 30 minutes that the installation had been cancelled, and that I would have to send in documents proving we now lived there I was so po'd. I now have Broadband service with a competitor. I will never use Frontier. I guess my 820 credit rating was not good enough for them.

So far everyone I've talked to has been pretty helpful, but there were some hiccups along the way. I signed up for a high speed service plan that I was told I could get, but when they came to do the install we found that we could only get a lower speed service. Luckily, I hate Time Warner/Spectrum enough that I was willing to put up with that, but it was a little disappointing. Pretty good service so far though so I'm happy enough.

I ordered residential service on 3/29/17 and was told my service would be delivered on 4/21/2017. I received a call from Frontier on 4/05/17 stating that my services would be delivered on 4/06/17 between 8am and Noon. I had to take a day off work for the appointment and the technician did not show up. I called customer service who could not find my account number or anything related to my new account phone number. After a long discussion with customer service I was assured my service would be delivered on the 21st. Later in the day a Frontier tech called me and said he was in Crescent City, California to install my service. I said great! the only problem is, my residence is in Washington state.

I LOVE Frontier and have it on my boat and just subscribed to replace idiot Comcast. However, I am disappointed that Frontier had me download a what they call Frontier Security. They want me to subscribe to their version of virus protection and pay money for it. I will not do that. I have malwarebytes.com and it works great. However, even though I don't want this program on my computer it continues to pop up and I cannot delete it unless I go into program uninstall and I don't want to uninstall Frontier, just this hokey program of theirs. I don't want to have to call them again and sit on the phone waiting. I would give them 5 stars readily but this is just a plain nuisance!

I'm a new customer to Frontier having just moved to my new home in Washington. I was a little disappointed by the limited amount of options that I had in terms of service, but I guess its understandable since most places don't/can't serve folks out in the woods like me with the type of high speed/high bandwidth internet I want. I haven't been able to use the internet myself yet, but my parents have been and they say that set up was really easy and that the service is working really well without any problems. They love being able to watch Netflix for the first time ever! They're very excited by that. I'm going to be happy doing my photography while watching Netflix or streaming music, once I get to my home. I was also really impressed with the online support services - I was able to chat online with reps and have my questions answered without having to call or email, which was really nice. So far the experience with Frontier has been really good - thank you!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've made two install appointments and both times nobody called or showed up. I have a new install scheduled for this Thursday. We'll see if they actually show up. Every time I've called the person on the phone has been clueless. They seem to have problems finding information regarding our account and the install. Your database is apparently not user friendly or your people are all so new they are still in training and don't know how to operate it. Be careful what questions you ask, people may say what they actually think. I am sure this review will go no further, but either way it feels good to vent.

The first tech gave me his personal phone number so it was easier for me to contact him with my busy schedule. The first time they came out, they all wore booties so as not to get my carpets dirty with their boots. The second visit the tech did not wear booties and dragged dirt into the house. Installers came a little earlier than expected. The appointment time was between 9 to noon. They showed up before 8am without a call beforehand. The installer wanted to rush the job and mount the equipment outside. I sensed they don't really care much about aesthetics. I had them install the unit in the basement beside the old unit. You have to carefully oversee the work if you care about neatness and aesthetics. I guess it was a good thing they came early. Otherwise they will just put everything where it is easy and route the wires wherever. The internet speed is a bit slow so far. Even when using one computer or phone for browsing. We may have to be forced to upgrade.

We recently moved from the 'big' city to a rural 10 acres. We were initially told we could only have Satellite internet, so we went with HughesNet. HATED, HATED, HATED it!! It was soooooooooooo slow, expensive, and had such low data caps.Our phone service with them was awful also, conversations had such delays. We then found out that we really could have cable internet, so we called Frontier, and voila!, we have high-speed, unlimited internet just like we did in the 'big' city. and our phone conversations are normal again! We love living on our peaceful ten acres, but are so thankful we can have high-speed internet and phone! We are so happy!

I live out in the country and I've had a hard time finding and internet connection that actually works here, Hughes Network did but it was not only expensive but also slow and a very limited GB use. I then tried Verizon and it worked better but it was also very expensive and limited used too. So I stayed with no internet for almost 2 years and now Frontier has given me a peace knowing that my bill wont change and I have unlimited use, and the speed is great! I'm very happy with frontier!

My first order has been cancelled with out notice and I was not happy about that. Later upon follow up, the representative Megan was very helpful and quick to place the another order for me. The only thing is I had got my set up 10 days delayed due to this. So far, the internet service is ok but sometimes it goes on and off. This is giving some trouble when working from home. I am a former Comcast user and I've been on FIOS for about a week. My first negative impression was the lack of certain channels I used to watch (Bloomberg, etc.). TCM on SD only? Comcast remote is way better, especially for the voice commands. With FIOS sometimes it takes more than 1 attempt to establish a connection to view a web page. I'm not sure why, I tested it on several OS and devices. When doing a tracert or ping I noticed some lost packets as well. At this point, I am not sure about keeping the service or switch back to Comcast.

I sadly moved from Frontier coverage back in June and had to use Xfinity...not a bad connection, but their Customer Service is terrible. I was able to move again and back into Frontier territory, just 2.5 miles away.... The price was better, the CS was far superior and was happy to be back with them. The technician called early to see if he could come earlier than the appointment and was very courteous and professional. He even informed me that because of a disagreement with ABC local Channel 4 that they were not carrying it any any longer....weird if you ask me for a big Cable provider not to have a National Channel on their line up...nonetheless I was warned ahead of time. The technician too 8 hours to do a proper and well done job to install 4 outlets and two new wireless units so that we wouldn't have to put in cable outlets. He was great and more than courteous and I would recommend Frontier over the other brand anytime. By the way...I was able to solve the channel 4 issue with a flat $20 antenna for HDepot and the reception is perfect.

Performance so far (less than a month) is not up to par. The original provided internet modem failed almost immediately and it took over a week and 3 calls to convince Tech Support to replace it. The replacement that was committed by the rep was to be a multiple channel but has turned out to be only a 2.4. Holding off on judgement and will contact Tech Support once more to see if they will deliver the agreed upon gateway.

So far the service has been great and one of the people in the internet service department was great...... other than that I was supposed to have my stuff installed for me... that wasn't done as the tech showed up 6 hours prior to my schedule appointment. Due to my being at work I was not there, I caught him before he left and asked that he leave the equipment with my neighbor as I had already waited two weeks because they had no appointments available, so to reschedule would likely be another couple weeks. That had me peeved for sure. I then had to call because it was not working while hooked to my laptop, I had sat on hold for 30 minutes just for them to tell me I needed to wait until their system updated at midnight... 😲. So I called in the morning as service was still not on. The guy who I finally got to after being transferred several times, his name was Joseph, was amazing, walked me through steps and eventually we found that my laptop IP address is wrong due to an update by microsoft and I need to call them but in the meantime I can use wifi on other devices. Yay for Joseph. I marked four stars because I had a bad experience but the service is good and same with some of the techs. I will be calling Microsoft to see what can be done with my laptop thanks to Joseph working with me for probably an hour to figure it out.

I was under the impression that I was able to get FIOS but it turns out it was not available in my area. Calling Frontier and getting accurate information was/is somewhat frustrating. 3 calls and 2 different stories. I was also told I would have service within 3 days and the equipment would be left on the porch and I would do a self install. Service took 10 days and an installer hooked it up. Not an issue except installation was one week longer than told, and an email giving me my new phone number never happened as promised. I had to ask the installer for my phone number. Service here is the slowest Frontier has much slower than advertised. Promises to residences of Whidbey Island for new faster service don't appear to be happening, so we live with what they give us. 3 stars is a gift for this review, but since we do have service I hope Frontier ups their game and trains there people better and sees fit to improve Internet speeds appropriate for the new Millennium which started 17 years ago!

I called and set up Internet service a couple of weeks ago with Frontier and then found out a week later, when calling in to see why the installation date hadn't been called in, that the order was not placed after all. I waited another week due to frustration and not wanting to go through the entire process of setting up service again to no avail. This time when I called in, the automated line said I already had service set up. Thankfully, the man on the phone who helped me was able to verify that that was not the case, and he got me signed up again very quickly and set the installation date while on the phone with me this time. He apologized for the misstep and was very kind and gracious. I'm grateful to now be signed up for Internet service, and am looking forward to once again being connected at home. when it works, it's pretty good... however, I have told customer service that the DSL is only available from about 9:30am until midnight. At all other times it is unavailable. A technician came out, changed, what he called a fuse, and left. No change in service.

Frontier Internet Service is okay, the speeds are good but not up to what today's technology can handle. The Internet Service initially went down like once per day and I called in the tech support and dealt with them to get it resolved. i have 30/30 with like 2 devices on at one time and sometime the skype calls are not perfect. They tend to lag a bit. Overall i am satisfied with what I have for now.

Customer service was great. Easy to understand and appreciated the walkthrough from our representative. So far internet and cable has worked well and the service is easy to use. Install wasn't great, the rep was knowledgeable and courteous but stripped some rings in our cable box and I needed to be firm that I wasn't okay with it being left like that. Seems like a no-brainer to fix.

The installer came at the scheduled time. He ran new wire from the overhead lines at the street. The equipment took very little time to install. The service worked perfectly and I have had no complaint about connection to the internet. I tested the speed of the connection and it was spot on. The speed was just as advertised at my hardwired desktop computer. The wifi signal is strong and I have no problems with signal strength in my livingroom. Both the connection to my HD TV and my laptop computer work well. I did experience some trouble with my laptop after the technician left. I called Frontier and a technician worked with me to solve the problem I was having connecting to the internet. She was very knowledgable and helpful.

The modem is horrible. And the quality of the internet is not as good as other providers. Calls via WiFi are choppy and not smooth ever since the switch to Frontier. Also, the personal modem we have doesn't work with Frontier but it did with our previous provider.
