Frontier Internet Service is okay, the speeds are good but not up to what today's technology can handle. The initial experience with Frontier has been very bad. After submitting my request, I never received any Welcome mail from Frontier confirming my service start date and receipt of my payment. After following up on phone umpteen number of times, I got to know that my account was incorrectly configured which resulted in a delay of 5 more days. The service got installed on the next promised date and it has been working fine since then. I faced some connection issues last week while watching online video but don't know if it was a temporary issue. Will raise a complaint if I encounter it again.

The people I've spoken to have been polite and helpful. I called to set up service at my new house and was told I was scheduled for installation that Friday. Instead of hearing from the technician that day, I got a call telling me that there was still an active account at my address in someone else's name, that I had not in fact been put on the schedule for installation, and that I needed to FAX a lease agreement to Frontier and then just wait to hear from them, then wait more to get service actually scheduled. That runaround and delay could have been avoided if the agent setting up my account could have checked for other open accounts at my address. At the very least, I could have been notified before the day I was expecting installation. I had the technician come today to connect my service, and I was very happy with his service. He made sure I had the correct connection speeds, got the network set up, and gave us his card in case of future service needs. He also didn't mind assistance from two small dogs and a cat.

I called to schedule service and had a long but pleasant chat to make all the arrangements. I was contacted once again before the scheduled date to confirm my services. The day of the scheduled installation I was contacted and told our address could not be confirmed and therefore the appointment was cancelled. They did not have an another available appointment until after our move date. This was very problematic since my husband works from home and start his day at 6:00 AM. It was a very stressful three days using multiple mobile phones as hotspots to get his work done. The installation technician was very helpful. We recently installed internet service. The install date was scheduled 2 weeks in advance and I was told I needed to be home from 9:00-1:00 on a Friday to meet the installer. After calling to check in on the ETA at 2:00, I was told that an automated call had been placed to me letting me know the service would have to be scheduled for Monday AM. This was highly frustrating as I had taken the whole day off work and had to take another day off on Monday and went without service for a entire additional weekend. On the positive note, our installer "Matt" was awesome! He was super helpful, really knew how to work a solution for us despite the fact that we had been told and sold something entirely different than what our house was able to accommodate, he was also early and done fairly quickly.

So far so pretty good. Have had Frontier FIOS for a couple of days now and the service itself has been quite good. Speeds up and down (based on speedtest.net results) are so close to advertised values as to make no difference. There were some issues with the hardware install that caused delays in activation, and a couple of days in I still can not access my account online, but the internet access is on despite that. I am not using the router provided by Frontier, as I have my own configured, so I can't speak to its reliability or feature sets. The modem provided by Frontier is small and seems to do its job without generating much heat so I am happy with it so far. All in all very happy with both the service and my communications with frontier itself, though the delay in being able to access my account information/pay schedule online is a little annoying.

It took a couple weeks for them to get out to my place to install internet but that was due to them being super busy. The tech who came out to install the internet was very nice and tried his hardest to give us the internet speed that was offered. It came out pretty close. The next day they came back and wanted to do some more work on it which was pretty nice!

Would have given 5 stars, but I took time off work to be ready for the initial installation time, only to get an automated voicemail that said "due to unforeseen circumstances the installation is rescheduled for tomorrow" with a phone number to call. I was annoyed at the rescheduling with short notice, but also when I called the number, the rep didn't have a record of our installation and only after much searching did he find us (he seemed annoyed that I didn't have an account number, but I had never received a number as we are new customers!). Once he transferred me to the WA office everything went smoothly, and the installation the next day was swift and worked flawlessly.

I tried Frontier's DSL service for a week and have to say I am not a big fan. The speed is just too slow for us. It never exceeded 2.8 Mbps. Have to give up. With this said, I am very happy with my experience dealing with Frontier's customer service. Top notch! Also, the DSL service works pretty well if you don't mind the speed.

New Fios Customer. The technician was supposed to come on wednesday but he came only on Friday. No intimation about change of schedule or no apology. He came and did his job fast. The internet speed is ok. I could work from home one day and not another. So its kind of flaky. Need to observe for more time.

The installer was on time and did a great job. I really appreciate how professional he made the wiring and setup. Comcast techs left plate covers hanging off the wall and asked my wife to crawl under the house when they "installed" a few years back. Nothing like that experience with Frontier! We're now surfing at triple our previous speed and no DNS issues killing service :-) Thank you!

The tech was very kind and called us to let us know when he would be there (rather than the vague time window you get from the sales rep). Our house is wired and he took care of reconnecting the house so that I didn't have to do it when I got home from work. He called me after I got home to make sure everything was working as expected (5 stars for the tech). Only subtracted a star, because I haven't received any account information so I can't set up online bill pay and get my discount yet.

The technician was quick and professional, and arrived within the scheduled time. I would give five stars, but we lost internet about an hour after the installation - apparently our service was mistakenly disconnected at HQ. A call back to the technician got it reconfigured, but I had to set my voicemail up again. A bit of a hassle, but not too bad. Now the connection is fast and consistent, and it supports VPN to my business, which Comcast didn't.
